What’s your main gig?
I’m mainly a journalist, and after many years of reading fashion blogs, I decided to launch one of my own. Right now, I write about fashion in a Spanish trend magazine. What I enjoy most about the role is taking photos of my trips and looks, while also sharing them with the rest of the world.
Any other passions?
I love to travel!! Any free time I have, I’m planning for my next trip. I also love reading, as well as collecting fashion & trend magazines, like Vogue or Monocle. Another secret passion of mine is being an unconditional fan of Game of Thrones and Formula 1.
What have been some of your biggest challenges and achievements so far?
The biggest challenge came in 2014, when I decided to leave my stable job at a local newspaper to become a freelance fashion journalist, and betting my whole career on the blog. The road was long and hard, but very rewarding. I met some amazing people and learned a lot. Now, I am proud to have made that decision.
Do you have any advice for those that are interested in following in similar footsteps?
In my opinion, the most important thing is to be yourself. Do something of your own and, as much as possible, bring something different into the world. Once you have your own style, you can then move it onto the social networks. Using platforms like Lookbook is an excellent way to reach more people, and allow them to get to know you. Have a good media kit, be consistent and work hard.
Where do you usually go to shoot your looks?
I like open spaces, with lots of air (like a beach, or a field in yellow tones). Time is important as well. The best moments of the day to take photos are first thing in the morning or the last of the day. The light is magical!!
What camera do you use?
I use a Canon EOS 500D with a 50mm f /1.4 lens for looks photos. But on trips, I’ll sometimes take photos with something more mobile, like my iPhone 6s.
What apps can you not live without?
On the computer, I cannot live without Lightroom (nor without VSCO Cam on the mobile). They are my two favorite tools for retouching the photos.
Where do you find most of your inspiration?
Everywhere! Movies and TV, magazines, Instagram, my travels, blogs, and of course, Lookbook.
There’s also a ton of style in A Coruña. Zara headquarters is located here, so you can meet with designers, trend hunters, and models in nearly any corner. It is entirely possible that trends arrive here earlier than in other places.
What do you love most about living here?
The tranquility that is breathed into the city. It’s also a cool place, where you can breathe fashion, and enjoy plenty of nice places for coffee and hanging out with friends.
Describe your personal style.
My style is informal and minimalist, with a masculine point.
What’s your favorite summer look?
I love a look in which I wear a long white dress with frills, of an Israeli brand called Dana Sidi. I also love to accompany any summer look with a good hat.
What are your 5 must-haves this season?

3. Short linen dress
4. Knotted crop top
5. Mesh bag with eco-friendly sandals from Nomadic State of Mind

What’s your dream collaboration?
OMG, hard decision!!! I like so many! I would love to work with brands like Revolve, Vetements, Dior, Balenciaga, Prada, Isabel Marant or Céline.
What does a typical day look like for you?
During the week I get up early to check email and walk down to the beach. Afterwards, I give myself a good shower, breakfast a toast of bread with tomato and a coffee (or two), and sit on the computer to work. I always work listening to music (I have several favorite playlists in Spotify), and usually always have to go out to do some interview, or to report.
Later in the day, I’ll order food or cook (I love cooking)!! And at night, I like to rest on the couch with my boyfriend and a good series of Netflix.
How about beauty routine?
I’m obsessed with hair. I wash it every day and take good care of it to make sure it stays healthy and shiny. (I cannot live without my hair curler).
I also cannot live without a good face mask. I'm hooked on organic products, especially those of Pai Skincare. Beyond that, I actually don’t use that much make-up. At the most, I’ll swipe on a coat of mascara.
What are your favorite things to do for summer?
I love to walk, bike, and bathe in the sea.
What about travel?
Utah in the United States (I like the infinite landscapes there), Akureyri in Iceland (they have the best ice cream ever), Comporta in Portugal (with good food, rice fields and incredible beaches, it’s a real paradise this time of year), and Hong Kong. I’m also hoping to take a trip to France’s Biarritz area in September.
Any interesting projects you’re working on right now?
Yes, I'm about to start a fashion radio program. I'm very excited.
I cook the best fideua in the world.

Everything will be alright in the end... if it's not alright, then it's not the end (from the movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel)
